OUTFIT GUIDE FOR EVERY TYPE OF VALENTINE’S DAY DATE

Valentine’s Day is probably my least favorite because I’m the Grinch who prefers the day after Valentine’s when everything is on sale and all my favorite spots aren’t overcrowded with people who are just in love or trying to be (I digress), BUT if you are going to be going out with your boo or even alone (like me, myself, and I), you have to slay just to remind everyone and yourself that you deserve every coin, love, and affection in the world. The only difficult part is when your partner wants to be all lovey-dovey and plan a surprise. Romantic? Yes. Ideal? Absolutely NOT because now you have no idea what to wear. The other difficult part is finding the perfect outfit that says “I am here, appreciate my presence in your life because I clearly look amazing.” So, in the spirit of making sure that you stay cuffed to the one you love (based on the looks), here are some ideas to help you plan the perfect fit for almost any date night/day without going for the cliche red and black look (nothing wrong with red outfit, it’s just time to spice up your life a bit):

INTERESTING, UNPREDICTABLE, YET FANCY DATE:

For the dates when you know that Bae might try to switch things up from a classic restaurant to an experiential restaurant, where your drink comes in a plastic bag or something interesting is still bound to happen, you want your look to match the vibe: INTERESTING AND HOT. I like to go for one statement piece like these flare pants with a super high slit to match the interesting tone of the night with a pair of comfortable but stunning heels (a platform heel will always do the trick like these Steve Madden blush heels). Keep everything else simple in order to highlight the most important part of your outfit-YOU.

 

FOR THE CLASSIC DINNER DATE:

While this might not be the outfit to order spaghetti or bbq ribs, this is the time for the outfit that says  “I’m worth every penny.” I am a true believer that nothing says luxury than a “winter white” outfit. I try to mix up the materials, in order to create different textures instead of looking like a Nollywood ghost (look it up if you don’t know what a Nollywood ghost looks like) like pairing a basic cotton tee with a pair of white pants. The weather is as unpredictable as some relationships, so grab a white blazer or light coat to keep you warm Since it’s Valentine’s Day and I still want to look festive, I keep the bold red to either the shoes and/or my makeup.

 

THE CASUAL DATE:

While I love a good deck the halls table in the kitchen of a five star restaurant date (read: Marcus Samuelsson’s restaurant), my favorite date involves less sitting down to eat and more walking/activity based date. While it may sound casual, I still like to slay the night. So, I’ll pair a fun but chic piece like a simple jumpsuit or these culottes jumpsuit with a nice jacket/duster and a pair of comfortable but cute shoes. The goal is comfy chic here. Just for fun and because you don’t want to worry about your hair while watching an outdoor show, throw on a hat (preferably one without a wide brim, because bumping your date’s head with your hat while leaning in for a kiss isn’t a good look).

I have checked out Holland & Barrett– the UK’s Well known Health Merchant and if you take a good peek, you will see that they offer for sale a comparatively comprehensive variety of CBD products, primarily CBD oil and they also happen to accept PayPal as a payment solution. It emerges that PayPal is employing contradictory standards to different firms. As a result of this stipulation, I can no longer take PayPal on my CBD-related online site. This has restrained my payment options and now, I am intensely dependent on Cryptocurrency payments and direct bank transfers. I have gotten in touch with a lawyer from a Magic Circle law practice in The city of london and they explained that what PayPal is undertaking is entirely unlawful and discriminatory as it ought to be applying a consistent standard to all companies.
