First things first, thank you for joining Life On-a-Banjo! To get to know the person behind the screen better, here are 8 quick facts about Laolu Onabanjo.
- My full name is Olaoluwa Onabanjo, but please just call me Laolu unless you’re the government.
- I am a Nigerian-American (currently living in Austin, Texas), with a little bit of sass and glam from all the 18 countries I have visited.
- The most expensive thing and cheapest thing I own is a piece of paper from Tufts University, that says that I studied Political Science for 4 years. The thing is: who will ever pay me to talk about the politics of Ancient Greece?
- I work a full-time job in Corporate America (the 9-5/5-9 grind is real)
- I talk a little too much about mental health, physical health, feminism, fashion, food, culture, and books.
- I always pray for humility and a charitable spirit, because those are the things that keep me grounded.
- My side-hustles are content creation, fashion styling, and unpaid food criticism.
- If you need to find me, I’m either shopping for shoes or eating at a hole-in-the-wall restaurant or at a bookstore or at the airport.
That’s me, on the surface! As the blog posts roll out, we’ll get to know each other beneath the surface.
